Focused on what counts...The Children
My wife and I have lived in Raymore for over 14 years. We have one child William, who proudly, will be joining the Air Force, graduated from Raymore-Peculiar in 2015. We have hosted three International Exchange students from China, Germany and India. My family and I believe that we have a service responsibility to our community.
I attended the University of Missouri – Columbia with a major of Electrical Engineering and also attended the University of Central Missouri with a major of Computer Information Systems. I joined Sprint PCS/Sprint focusing on Research and Development. During my time with Sprint, I developed technologies such as Internet Data, Push to Talk and WiFi Enabled cell phones. I was responsible for a $12 million annual budget that required research, bidding and procurement. I have 4 U.S. patents and 22 patent submissions. After leaving Sprint, I traveled the world working on Next Generation networks. During this time, I’ve been offered 3 relocation opportunities. I declined. My heart remains in Raymore. Currently, I'm currently a Managing Engineer with AT&T working on the Advanced TV/DirecTV Next Generation Platform.
I've been very active in the community. In addition to serving the Raymore-Peculiar School Board for 6 years, two (2) of which has been a Board President, I have served as a Commissioner on the Raymore Planning and Zoning Commission, Board member of the Sunrise Optimist Club, Board member of Hope Haven of Cass County (former), Raymore-Peculiar Education Foundation Board member, Metropolitan Community Colleges Computer Information Advisory Board, Cass County Junior Athletic Association AT&T Community Network Executive Board, Member of Phi Beta Sigma and Board member of the Raymore-Peculiar Athletic Booster Club. As an elected Board Member, that same initiatives held true. I’m active with the Early Childhood Task Force, Diversity Committee, International Baccalaureate and the Excellence in Missouri process.
As a result, my background, my commitment to Raymore qualifies me to be re-elected to the Raymore-Peculiar School Board. I have a track record of building strategic plans, building consensus and working collaboratively toward a common goal–abilities critical to this important position. I have the perspective and willingness to work for the benefit, the education and the growth of all of our children. I am NOT running for a position..” I am focused on what matters, the children.”
The success of our children and our school district affect all aspects of our lives in Raymore, whether you are a parent, a grandparent, or a concerned citizen.
I want to continue to put my experience and abilities to work to make this happen. Please vote for me on April 5th 2016.
